What is the purpose of the new EUMOS directive?
The new EUMOS legislation was introduced in May 2018, which imposes significantly higher requirements on transport on pallets within the EU. In addition, liability for damage shifts from the carrier to the client. The European EMOS 40509 directive should improve road safety. The EUMOS legislation forces manufacturers, transporters and their customers to look more closely at the safety of the transport of products on pallets. How do you test flexible transport packaging?
The new European directive prescribes an EUMOS 40509 test. A test object may not exceed a certain slope even after repeated braking loads.
